The Kitsap Humane Society is hosting an After Hours on July 30 th from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy networking, complimentary refreshments and tours of the facility.

HABITAT FINALIZES THE PURCHASE OF TWO ADJACENT PIECES OF PROPERTY IN PORT ORCHARD
Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County has made a bold move towards ending substandard housing in the Port Orchard Area. With the purchase of two adjacent parcels off of Lund Avenue in Port Orchard Kitsap Habitat will provide a safe affordable housing option for 32 families in the coming years.
The two developments are directly off of Harris Road. The smaller parcel contains 5-7 lots while the larger parcel has potential for 25 homes. We are looking forward to beginning work on our largest project yet.

SBA LOAN SEMINAR
A free seminar on “How to Obtain U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Loans,” will be presented on Tuesday, July 22nd at 1:30 p.m. at the Norm Dicks Government Center in the Council Chambers at 345 6th Street, Bremerton WA 98337.
The seminar, a joint presentation by the SBA Seattle District Office, the Small Business Development Center-OC and American Marine Bank, is designed for people interested in learning about small business financing and how the SBA loan program works.
Mark Costello & Roger Hopkins from the SBA Seattle District Office and Cliff Higashi from American Marine Bank will lead the discussion about loan requirements, terms, collateral, and limitations on the use of funds and what information banks are looking for from a borrower.

COMMUNITY SERVICE FESTIVAL INVOLVES WHOLE COMMUNITY
Dozens of Kitsap business and community organizations are involved in organizing a sustainability festival in historic Port Gamble, August 2-3. The outdoor festival will mix headline entertainment, live music, local food, hand-made crafts and a farmers market with exhibits, speakers and workshops focused on the theme of sustainability.
The festival will feature dozens of entertainers on three stages, including such headline entertainers as the Flying Karamazov Brothers, jazz singing legend Alice Stuart, an internationally known clown, a magic show and many others.
The nonprofit Festival is being organized by volunteers from Stillwaters Environmental Education Center, Kitsap Audubon Society, WSU-Kitsap Extension, Kitsap Community and Agricultural Alliance, Sustainable Bremerton, SCALLOPS (Sustainable Communities All Over Puget Sound), Washington State Farmers Market Association, Kitsap Conservation Voters, Poulsbo Farmers Market, Kitsap Citizens For Responsible Planning and New Old Time Chautauqua.
